BIO

Randal Branham is a film composer, lyricist, and singer/song writer. He has been playing piano since age six. He spent so much time at the piano that his Father padlocked it, but his passion for the piano quickly defeated the lock and made him even more determined to play.

Randal studied classical music at Eastern State College and Rollins College. Over the years, he has won several awards for his original music, including Billboard best song contest for Kid, Honorable Mention for Wonderful, and the International Song Writers’ Guild Award for the song Fly Away. He performs annually at the Winter Garden Music Festival and semi-annually at the statewide Florida Music Festival as well as many other events. He regularly performs at Disney Springs and other venues in Florida, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Texas.

As a gay composer, Randal has been very involved in the LGBTQ community. He sang two of his songs to massive cheering crowds while he and his backup dancers performed on a float which wound through the streets of downtown Orlando in the Pride Parade. In the aftermath of the Pulse tragedy, he performed his single pride anthem, Man to Man. This uplifting anthem outlines the struggle for universal equality and ends with the hope that love will ultimately bring acceptance.

Randal’s ambitious music video “Touching Down,” was filmed at multiple tarmacs, including the Orlando-Sanford International Airport, and was released in 2015. It has received many favorable reviews; and for which he also released two dance mixes. 2018 album “Simple” contains 15 cuts of wide-ranging music, and is the culmination of a lifetime of dedication to the craft. The all-original songs vary from the energizing “Simple to Extreme” through heartfelt ballads “Man to Man”, “Who is this Lady?” and “Last Hour”; dance tunes like “Go Out”; and the kicky and unusual “Walking,“ released as a single and music video; and the ethereal thought-provoking Celtic touches in “Fly Away
